What Makes Practice Operations Valuable as Training Data
- Scheduling operations — appointment flow, visit-type patterns, no-show and rescheduling rhythms, provider utilization across days and seasons
- Billing and revenue-cycle workflows — how claims are prepared, submitted, tracked, and resolved; the administrative sequence from visit to payment
- Practice administration — intake workflows, referral coordination, staffing patterns, front- and back-office processes
AI systems are being trained to understand how real organizations run. A practice's administrative operating record — refined over years of daily volume — is a genuine example of that, and it already exists in the systems you use.
Years of Operations Are the Asset
One year of scheduling and billing history is a sample. Many years of it — across staff changes, system changes, growth, and seasonal swings in patient volume — is a deep operational record that can't be synthesized. Practices with several years of operating history hold the stronger position in this program, and they built that history simply by running the practice.
A License, Not a Handover — and Your Operations Don't Change
- Your originals stay in your systems — scheduling, billing, and daily operations continue untouched
- Mode licenses an agreed, de-identified copy of operational records
- The scope is agreed with Mode in writing before anything is exported — your practice reviews and approves what is included
Who Qualifies
Mode's published eligibility for the program:
- Medical practices: 15 or more employees
- Located in the US, Canada, UK, or Australia
- An established practice — several years of operating records strengthens fit
Practices below that size can still participate through the affiliate door below.
How the Process Works
Apply → Review → LOI → Agree & Export → Deliver → Get Paid
Mode states a timeline of roughly 3 months from the first conversation to payment. That is Mode's stated timeline for the process — the actual pace depends on the review and the scope agreed.
FAQ
Is patient data or protected health information what's being licensed?
No. The program licenses operational records — scheduling patterns, billing and revenue-cycle workflows, practice administration — in de-identified form. Exactly what is in scope is agreed between your practice and Mode in writing before any export happens, and patient privacy is precisely the conversation to have in that review: ask Mode directly how de-identification is handled, and have your own compliance counsel read the agreement. Any practice considering this should treat that step as mandatory, not optional — and you should expect straight answers before anything moves.
Does this change how our practice runs day to day?
No. You license a copy of records that already exist. Your systems, your originals, and your daily operations stay exactly as they are.
How much could our practice receive?
Mode's published program range is $100K–$5M per company. Where a practice lands depends on Mode's review — practice size, years and depth of operational records, and the systems in use. No figure can be promised before that review, and this page won't pretend otherwise.
How long does the process take?
Mode states roughly 3 months from the first conversation to payment. Consider that their stated process timeline rather than a guaranteed date — scope and review set the real pace.
What does it cost the practice?
Nothing for the review. Mode pays the practice for the license. If a FiftyKPlug affiliate made the introduction, that affiliate's fee is paid by Mode — never by your practice.
Two Doors at 50KPLUG.COM
Door 1 — Check if your practice qualifies.
Medical practices with 15+ employees and an established operating history can run the free qualification check. Mode handles the review from there.
Door 2 — Join as an affiliate, free.
Smaller practices — and individual owners, administrators, and staff — can join free and earn referral fees under Mode's published program terms by introducing qualifying companies and practices. The fee is paid by Mode, never by the company.
