Who is Mode?
Mode (Mode Mobile LLC) is an AI data lab that licenses company operating records to frontier AI labs.
What does my company actually sell?
A license to a copy of its operating record. Your originals are untouched.
Is there exclusivity?
Yes — 24 months, covering the same data, for external AI training.
Why do owners do this?
Records that sat valueless are now a six-figure revenue source. Nothing changes about how you operate, and you get a fixed written offer before you commit to anything.
How is sensitive information handled?
It's removed and de-identified before licensing, and you can audit a sample.
Who qualifies — and who isn't a fit?
Companies that meet Mode's published minimums (see Do You Qualify?). Staffing agencies, healthcare/dental, insurance and title/escrow businesses are not a fit.
How likely is approval?
Over 98% of companies Mode offers an agreement to are approved.
What drives the size of the offer?
Headcount now and at peak, years of records, number of systems, data volume, and outcome records.
What's the process and timeline?
About 2–3 months from first call to paid: call, LOI + mutual NDA, intake, indicative range, fixed written offer, upload, de-identification, then payment.
How is privacy and security protected?
A mutual NDA is signed at the LOI stage and nothing is uploaded before signing. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, you can audit a sample, the raw upload is deleted within 120 days, and the AI customer is barred from identifying anyone.
Will anyone find out?
Mode does not publicly name companies without written consent.
Who owns the data afterward?
Your company keeps its data and systems, untouched.
How much do partners earn?
Direct referrals: Base tier (1–5 paid companies) 6% of the company's paid offer or $50,000, whichever is higher; Tier 2 (6–25) 6.25% or $52,500; Tier 3 (26+) 6.5% or $55,000.
When am I paid?
Within 30 days of Mode paying the company. A W-9 is required before your first payment.
How do sub-referrals work?
Affiliates you introduce earn you 1% or a $5,000 minimum on every company they close — up to 1.5% or $10,000 at Tier 3. One level deep.
Can a fee be clawed back?
Yes — in cases of a refund, fraud, or broken program rules.
Does my fee reduce the company's offer?
No. Your fee is paid by Mode on top of the company's offer, never deducted from it.
How is credit decided?
Mode registers or declines your referral within 10 business days. First written referral wins.
Do I handle any data?
Never. Your only job is the introduction — Mode's team does everything else.
